March 2023
Today, we are celebrating "Read Across America Day", with special QO guest readers:) This month we also focused on several STEM activities, such as creating Slime; mixing colors and predicting the results; predicting buoyancy;and creating leprechaun projects; locating and identifying animal tracks. Lastly, we focused on "pepper and soap science" - a lab illustrating the importance of germs and washing your hands.
We also focused on English Language Arts (ELA) - reading time indoors and outdoors; discussing characters and predicting story themes and plots; in addition to practicing our alphabet and fine motor skills. We are also enhancing our addition, subtraction and beginning multiplication skills. Mindful activities include mindful breathing and yoga:)

Greetings and Happy New Year to Everyone! We are looking forward to creating and implementing exciting and engaging new lessons for our Cougar Cubs this year! The unit this month focuses on "Community Jobs and the Seasons". We took a deep look at how community workers can help us in our everyday lives. We also engaged in scientific experiments in STEM; phonological awareness; concepts of print; mathematical word problems and mindful breathing and yoga.

It is hard to believe that we are almost half way through the year. I want to wish everyone a healthy and happy holiday season and New Year with your friends and family. We are so grateful that you are part of our Cougar Cub family:) We are looking forward towards another exciting year teaching our Cougar Cubs language arts (reading and writing), math, music, science (STEM), social studies, mindfulness (calming) techniques, yoga and physical education.

March 2018
March is an exciting month with the Cougar Cubs! This entire month is National Nutrition Month, so we will be emphasizing the importance of nutrition in their lives. More helpful related tips will be under the Home Activities section on our website. The children will be celebrating and learning about Dr. Seuss on his birthday, Thursday the 8th. We also will be having a St. Patrick's Day lesson on the 15th to celebrate the holiday. On the 22nd we are having a Spring Harvest Festival with all of the families so we hope to see everyone there! This is also a reminder that our spring break starts on the 26th, and our first day back will be April 3rd. We have a month full of excitement ahead of us and are looking forward to all of the festivities!

Please remember that this Thursday, is Advisory Day. Please bring your child or children to the Preschool at 8:10 and pick them up at 11:15. 2. Also, we are in the process of designing lessons for next week. Our focus is cultural diversity. We are celebrating all the winter holidays. Please share with me the holidays you and your family celebrate, if appropriate.
This Thursday we are focusing on the theme, "Winter Holiday Traditions" for our "Show and Tell". Please have your child bring a special item to represent your winter holiday tradition.
Registration for the spring term is here. At your earliest convenience, please pay the remainder of your child’s/children’s preschool fee. The total for both semesters is $700.00. You can pay by checks made out to Quince Orchard HS or by credit card, on-line.
