Preschool Curriculum Development of the Whole Child The Quince Orchard Preschool program focuses on the physical, intellectual, emotional, social and language development of its students as well as pre-emergent writing, reading, math, science and social studies.
Themes: Each month has a different theme, and a different social emotional focus. While the themes may change from year to year, learning about cooperation, kindness, responsibility, decision making, self-awareness, social awareness and relationship skills remain a constant.
Under direction of the Child Development Teacher, high school students plan and implement lessons that are developmentally appropriate. Learning occurs for both the high school students and for the pre-k students as they work together.
